  • Libertarian Meeting at Somerset Ridge Vineyard & Winery

Hy-Vee Director of State Government Regulations, Dick Stoffer, plans to join Uncork Kansas, Jessica Lucas, to be co-speakers at the next Third District Libertarian Party of Kansas meeting on August 20th at 12:30 pm! The meeting is located at
    Somerset Ridge Vineyard & Winery
    29725 Somerset Rd
    Paola, Kansas 66071
Somerset Ridge is asking for a head count for this event. Please RSVP either on Facebook or the Libertarian Party of Kansas website.
Mr. Stoffer and Ms. Lucas will be discussing the liquor laws in Kansas. More specifically, they will be discussing how regulations and laws prevent convenience stores in Kansas from selling liquor and higher alcohol percentage beer.
Also at the meeting, we will be appointing our Miami County Chairman, Brandon Caldwell. Brandon is a security professional that was born and raised in Kansas and now lives in Louisburg with his wife and children. He became a libertarian in 2008 and has never looked back. He views the liberty movement as a battle of hearts and minds. Brandon loves spreading the concepts of liberty to those that have not yet realized that there is a better way forward.
We are rapidly growing and are looking for candidates to run for office. If you are interested in running for office, please let us know! You can also sign up here:
Somerset Ridge opens at noon, so the meeting is shortly after they open. We will be meeting on the back side where all the umbrellas are. Somerset offers alcohol-free beverages, wine by the glass or bottle, and lunch. Everything will be separate checks.
Somerset Ridge is right down the street from the famous Louisburg Cider Mill. We will be hanging out at the vineyard for a couple or few hours and then heading over to the cider mill after the meeting.
    Look forward to seeing you!
