Overland Park residents take note -

If you are a registered voter you will soon receive a ballot in the mail. The ballot asks the question whether or not a 1/8c sales tax should continue or go away on the date of its sunset clause (which is 3/31/09.

Sunset clauses are set for a reason. The reason is that, as Ronald Reagan once said: "There is nothing so close to eternal life on earth as a government program".

Be sure to mark NO (do not approve the continuation of the tax) and get it sent back by 1/29/08!
