There are several events scheduled in the next 10 days. Here is the rundown:
Tues, 4/8 – “Patriot Act & Beyond: What you need to know about your rights” – a lecture by Asst. Professor Mariya Omelicheva. This event is sponsored by the Students for Liberty and will take place at 6pm at 3140 Wescoe (KU main campus).
Wed, 4/9 – Free State Libertarians will meet at 6pm at the Ecumenical Christian Ministries Building (upstairs). The ECM building is located at 12th/Oread.
Sat, 4/12 (9-5) and Sun, 4/13 (9-3) – Big Knife & Gun Show at the Topeka Expocentre. We will have an outreach booth at this event this tends to be a very receptive crowd. If you can help please contact me.
Tues, 4/15 – we will be distributing lit and speaking with last minute filers at the downtown post office. We’ll meet around 5:30. Let me know if you can help.
The Heartland Conference was held this weekend and was a huge success. CNN and other media were on hand yesterday to cover the debate and Bob Barr’s announcement that is seeking the LP Presidential nomination. I’ll talk about this in more detail Wednesday night.
