Rob Hodgkinson for Kansas Senate - District 37
Modified By robh on 3/29/2008 10:53:47 AM)
Rob Hodgkinson has fought for eminent domain reform and opposed constantly rising taxes as the chairman of the Kansas Libertarian Party since 2005.

Now, Rob wants to bring that common-sense approach to the state legislature as a candidate for the Kansas State Senate District 37. A moderate and mediator on top of being a successful businessman, Rob is serious about the change we need to encourage Kansans to act on years of disillusionment with politics as usual.

Rob is a successful small business owner. WinDura performs residential window, door, and siding replacement and repair in the Kansas City region. Rob also spent seven years running computer networks, and, prior to that, worked in construction, retail, and sales. He attended Kansas State University and earned an insurance and securities license, which he carried for 15 years. Rob is a fifth-generation Kansan, who grew up around Hutchinson, and is proud of his unique understanding of the people in our state.

Rob is active in our community, participating in such organizations as Kansas Compassionate Care Coalition, Kansas Taxpayer's Network, Drug Policy Forum of Kansas, AFP of Kansas, the Greater KC Women's Political Caucus, and even his local bowling association. Rob is also active nationally with the Castle Coalition, which opposes eminent domain abuse, and Atlas!Liberty PAC, a federal political action committee dedicated to promoting candidates of all parties who support freedom and responsibility. His hobbies include gardening, hunting, fishing, and reading.

Rob became a Libertarian in 1999 following Harry Browne's presidential campaign. The Browne campaign opened his eyes to a liberty agenda and he has been active in the Kansas and national parties ever since. Rob ran for Secretary of State in 2006, and also ran for the Kansas House in 1990, 2002, and 2004.
