Ron Paul supporters,
First, congratulations on the strong showing in today's KS caucus. It appears that Ron did very well across the state. This is a testament to your group's hard work to promote freedom in Kansas.
We invite you to join the political party that believes what Ron Paul believes. Join the political party that welcomes you and your belief in the values of liberty.
Ron Paul is a lifetime member of the Libertarian Party. Ron Paul was the Libertarian candidate for President in 1988. Why? Because Ron Paul and the Libertarian Party share the same values:
Although the Republican Party occasionally talks about these values, they certainly don't walk the walk. Nowadays, Republicans are the Party of runaway spending and unending war—that's not Ron Paul at all. Ron Paul is not the choice of KS Republican voters either: 88% of Kansas Republicans rejected Ron Paul in the caucus.
Ron Paul is the choice of Libertarians: 90% of Libertarians support Ron Paul. Ron Paul's message is distinctly Libertarian. As Ron said, "The message is powerful. You know, I have my shortcomings, But the message has no shortcomings. The message of liberty is what America is all about." The message of liberty is what both Ron Paul and the Libertarian Party are all about.
I read on Ron's website that he plans to focus on his congressional race, and has surrendered hopes of a brokered convention. I believe we share a common goal of restoring constitutional order and reducing the size/scope of government. After fighting within the two party systems for years (I ran for office as a Republican in 1990), I decided the only hope was a true political alternative. That's how I ended up with the Libertarian Party. Fighting from within either the Republican or Democratic structure does nothing to stop the loss of our freedoms and only increases our many problems as time, energy and money is wasted to change a two-party monstrosity that is corrupt beyond repair.
The Ron Paul campaign was national in nature however, “all politics is local” and electing local & state candidates is the real way to make substantive long-term change.
It's time to come home.
We need every Ron Paul fan to join us and nurture the seeds of liberty that Ron Paul plants every day! Attend one of our local LPKS meetings and help with outreach efforts. The Ron Paul campaign has brought the ideas we hold dear to the masses, but the revolution must continue and the grassroots efforts need to be continued at the state and local levels. We have been fighting for several years for this same liberty/freedom revolution using the Libertarian Party of Kansas as our political venue. As the LPKS continues to elect members in local levels and above, our influence will increase.
Liberty is alive in Kansas today but it is suppressed by the significance and power of the two-party system. Partisanship, combined with ignorance, is destroying our state by taking away our freedoms. The two-party system must be beaten back and destroyed. Libertarians working through the Libertarian Party will continually challenge those who mean to enslave us through taxation, fear and warfare.
Join us in this fight from the only perspective that will work in the end. Join the fight using the Libertarian Party to promote the freedom we are losing due to the Republicans and Democrats. Start by re-registering to vote as a Libertarian and contact me to run for public office as a libertarian at a “local” & state level. If you cannot run for office yourself – be a campaign volunteer for another LP freedom-loving candidate. Donate to the LPKS and to the local LP candidates.
It is up to us -- we passionate freedom fighters -- to reclaim our liberty. Join us and you can make a difference this year in the fight for freedom and liberty in Kansas.
See you soon!
