For Immediate Release - LPKS Elects Candidates
Libertarian Party of Kansas Elects Candidates at State Convention
WICHITA, KS - On Saturday April 25th, 2026 the Libertarian Party of Kansas convened for their annual state convention at Prost Wichita. Registered Libertarians nominated seven candidates for statewide office:
David Graham for US Senate,
Eric Lund for State Treasurer,
Ric Koehn for Commissioner of Insurance,
Steve Jacob for US House District 1,
John Hauer for US House District 2,
Steve Hohe for US House District 3 and
Drew Cranmer for US House District 4.
Libertarians also nominated four candidates for the Kansas House of Representatives:
Rob Hodgkinson for District 4,
Josef Trotter for District 96,
Dean Hayse for District 82 and
Andrew Frey for District 66.
Additionally, Libertarians nominated three candidates for County Commissioner:
Olivia Hayse for Sedgwick County D5,
Kirsten Kuhn for Douglas County D5 and
Aric Herman for Shawnee County D1.
The LPKS also elected twelve delegates to the Libertarian Party National Convention: Sam Yoskowitz, Olivia Hayse, Dean Hayse, David Graham, Jonathan Headrick, Aric Herman, Rob Hodgkinson, Mark Robinson, Kirsten Kuhn, Andrew Frey, Eric Lund and Tyler King.
During their business session, registered Libertarians elected five officers to the LPKS Executive Committee:
Mark Robinson (Treasurer),
Brent Cox (District 1 Coordinator),
John Hauer (District 2 Coordinator),
Mark Davis (District 3 Coordinator) and
Olivia Hayse (District 4 Coordinator).
Note that the Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary roles are already filled and not newly elected. Also note that the LPKS follows the state congressional districts as their party districts.
