Welcome to the LPKS Minimize
The Libertarian Party of Kansas (LPKS) is an affiliate of the national Libertarian Party.

The LPKS is dedicated to restoring small government, a free-market economy, civil liberties, freedom from excessive government intrusion in our lives and personal responsibility for our actions.  The LPKS is working to move public policy in this libertarian direction by giving the voters in Kansas a viable third option to the status quo and working to have candidates across the state in local and statewide elections.

We need your help to return our state government to being “for the people" – instead of today’s attitude in Topeka of “against the people”. Help us by changing your voter registration to Libertarian & voting for a Libertarian every time you can.

Join us as a volunteer or as a candidate - It will mean more freedom for you and for all Kansans. You and future generations will be glad you did!

Topeka, Kansas - The Libertarian Party of Kansas (LPKS) announces that its annual state convention will be Saturday April, 24th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Topeka. The LPKS business session will be held at the Big Gage Shelter house located adjacent to the Topeka Zoo.

Business of the day will include selecting the 2010 Libertarian candidates for the upcoming November ballot and the choosing of Kansas delegates for the Libertarian Party national convention to be held in St. Louis, May 28th thru the 31st. This will be one of the first times Kansas Libertarian candidate decisions will be contested for the state party nominations.

The convention will be preceded by a dinner to be held Friday evening, April 23rd at 7 p.m.
with a social/cocktail hour beginning at 6 p.m. at the Celtic Fox; 118 SW 8th Ave. Topeka. The menu will be grilled chicken, beef brisket, twice-baked potato casserole, home-style green beans, roll, dessert bites and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic drinks will be available at the bar.

This year the LPKS is pleased to have as special guest speakers at both events, Mr.
Wayne Root and Mr. Ernest Hancock, both who are candidates for the office of Chairman of the National Libertarian Party in 2010.

Wayne Root was the Libertarian Party’s candidate for Vice-President of the United States in the 2008 election. Mr. Root is the author of the recently published book; "The Conscience of a Libertarian", and is one of the most visible libertarian personalities currently on national media TV and radio talk shows.

Ernest Hancock is the Publisher of Freedoms Phoenix and host of “Declare Your Independence” on the Liberty News Radio Network and the Republic Broadcasting Network. Mr. Hancock is also known as the creator of the Ron Paul r3volution logo.

The liberty-minded public is invited and welcome to attend both events. To RSVP for the dinner call 785.231.4367 or email Chair@lpks.org
Dinner Tickets are $25 ea.   Please purchase tickets by April 18th and make checks payable to LPKS. Mail check to Andrew Gray, 2814 S.W. Lincolnshire Ct, Topeka, KS 66614.
